Pattaya is one of those places where everyone has an opinion.
Some say it’s getting better. Others say it’s getting worse.
Prices are rising, or they’re not. Nightlife is thriving, or it’s fading.
Tourism is up, or it’s down.
The truth is… nobody really knows. It’s all noise, anecdotes and arguments.
So instead of relying on guesswork, I’m doing something different; the Pattaya 2026 Survey.
I’ve launched the Pattaya 2026 Expectations & Experience Survey, a simple, anonymous 3–5 minute survey designed to capture what people who actually spend time here think about the city today, and where they believe it’s heading next year.
Whether you come for a week, stay for a few months, or live here full-time, your view genuinely matters.
Why run a survey in the first place?
Pattaya is changing. Quickly.
Some changes are obvious, cost of living, tourist mix, redevelopment projects, and others are more subtle, like the vibe, the pace, or the general atmosphere you only notice after a few visits or a long stay.
You see these debates everywhere online:
- “Pattaya is way more expensive this year.”
- “The nightlife isn’t the same.”
- “It’s getting far more family-friendly.”
- “No, it’s going downhill.”
Everyone has a take. Very few have data.
This survey aims to cut through all of that and build a clear, honest picture of:
- What people are really spending
- What they think of value for money
- How the nightlife and tourist scene feels
- How safe people feel
- Whether the city feels busier or quieter
- What’s actually changing
- What frustrates people the most
- And, importantly, what people love about Pattaya
It’s not about proving any group “right”.
It’s about presenting the first community-led snapshot of Pattaya as it stands in 2025 and what people expect in 2026.
What the survey covers
To keep responses clean and unbiased, I won’t list the exact questions here, but the survey looks at several core themes:
Cost of Living
Daily and monthly spending, biggest expenses, food, nightlife, accommodation and how prices compare to previous years.
Tourism & Nightlife
How the city feels today, how busy it is, what’s changing on Walking Street, Soi Buakhao, LK Metro and the surrounding areas.
Value for Money
Is Pattaya still worth it?
Has it become too expensive?
How does it stack up against other destinations?
Visas, Practicalities & Long-Stay Realities
Banking, long-stay challenges, retirement hassles, and general ease of living.
Predictions for 2026
Busier? Quieter? More expensive? Better value?
More families? More nightlife? No change at all?
Let people decide.
The Things We Love & The Things That Frustrate Us
Always the most revealing part.
Who should take part?
The short answer: anyone who spends real time in Pattaya.
- Tourists visiting for a few days or weeks
- Long-stay visitors here for a month or more
- Digital nomads staying seasonally
- Expats who live here full-time
- Retirees who have made Pattaya home
Every group sees Pattaya differently.
That’s why this survey matters, it combines all those viewpoints into one clear snapshot.
How long does it take?
About 3–5 minutes.
No emails required.
Completely anonymous unless you choose to leave your email at the end for early access to the final report.
And that’s it.
What happens next?
Once enough responses are collected, I’ll publish a full Pattaya 2026 Insights Report on the site — covering what the community thinks about cost of living, nightlife, tourism, safety, changes, frustrations, the future, and everything in between.
It will be free for everyone.
People who leave their email at the end of the survey will get early access to the white paper, including charts, analysis and commentary.
Take the survey
If you’ve spent time in Pattaya recently, I’d really appreciate your input.
Thank you in advance; the more people take part, the clearer the picture becomes.
Let’s see what Pattaya really looks like going into 2026.
For data collection, the survey is hosted on Google Forms.
